Workshop on Sri Lanka’s upcoming biodiversity strategies and reports

CEPA recently took part in an initial workshop organized by the Ministry of Environment, designed to raise awareness among key stakeholders about Sri Lanka’s upcoming biodiversity initiatives.

The workshop focused on three major documents currently under development: the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, the Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP), and the 7th National Report to the Convention on Biological Diversity. These documents will guide Sri Lanka’s biodiversity work over the next five years and outline the pathways to achieve both national and global targets.

CEPA contributed to discussions and provided input on the proposed methodology for developing these documents.
