Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) by DS Division

This study by CEPA has followed the widely accepted Alkire and Foster (2007) counting approach to measure multidimensional poverty. Using this framework, deprivation scores were calculated for health, education, and living standards, and then aggregated into the overall Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI). The MPI provides a composite measure of poverty that goes beyond income, highlighting disparities in access to basic capabilities across the surveyed DS Divisions.
