Mrs. Tania Munasinghe

Research Professional - Livelihood, Employment and Migration

Tania Munasinghe has achieved her BSc (Hons) degree in Town & Country Planning from the University of Moratuwa, specialized in community-based development projects, disaster management, and participatory rural appraisal. Recently, she contributed to research on rain-induced landslide risk communication and early warning policies at the International Consortium on Landslides.

She has more than 4 years of immense field experience at the International Consortium on Landslides – Japan, Sri Lankan office, and the World Health Organization’s World Health Survey Plus, including extensive hands-on work directly with rural communities, field teams, and disaster-affected households. She brings strong expertise in participatory planning tools and handling workshops with diverse and rural communities, plus robust research skills and international exposure through peer-reviewed publications and CAP Young Planners’ Award achievement.

Currently, she works at CEPA as a Research Professional under the Livelihood, Employment and Migration thematic.
