Educational Reforms and Implications on Inequalities

Overview

Sri Lanka, although known for its high literacy rate and commitment to free education, suffers from decades of educational inequalities. The National Education Policy Framework  2023-2033 (NEPF)  and associated reforms attempts to address these inequalities. The Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA), in collaboration with University of Nottingham, hosted a roundtable discussion on educational reforms and their implications on inequalities on the 16th of May 2024. The policy brief pulls out some key areas for consideration in going forward with the proposed reforms.
