Ms. Rebecca Jayatissa

Communications Professional

Ms. Rebecca Jayatissa is a communications professional with experience in strategic communications, community engagement, advocacy, and storytelling across the humanitarian and development sectors in Sri Lanka. She currently serves as Communications Professional at CEPA, where she leads the organisation’s communications function, including content strategy, research dissemination, media outreach, and public engagement.

Prior to joining CEPA, Rebecca worked on USAID-funded programmes focused on social cohesion, reconciliation, and community engagement, and contributed to communications for policy research, women-focused initiatives, and civil society advocacy.

Her expertise spans content development, multimedia storytelling, and digital community management. She actively contributes to community engagement and advocacy initiatives through her work in the development sector.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English from the University of Peradeniya and is currently pursuing the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK.
