Dr. Roshan Perera is a public policy specialist with over three decades of experience in economic policy and financial sector regulation. She previously served as a Director at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, where she worked on monetary and fiscal policy and financial sector regulation and supervision. She was a Senior Research Fellow at the Advocata Institute, an independent public policy think tank, where her work focused on economic governance, regulatory reform, and policy analysis.

Prior to joining CEPA, Roshan worked as an independent consultant advising institutions in Sri Lanka and internationally on economic policy, financial sector development, and regulatory frameworks. She also serves on the boards of Nations Trust Bank PLC and Senkadagala Finance PLC.

She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Melbourne, a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master in Environmental Geography from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Colombo.
