Mrs. Ayanthi De Silva

Director

Mrs. Ayanthi De Silva is a Senior Development Planner with 31 years of extensive experience in economic planning, national budgeting, and policy and project monitoring across various departments within the Treasury. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in shaping economic policies and has represented the Treasury in approximately 20 statutory enterprises, contributing to key financial and developmental decisions.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from the University of Peradeniya and earned a Master’s degree in International Development from Flinders University, Australia. Additionally, she has pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Demography at the University of Colombo. Mrs. De Silva is also a Fellow Member of the Sri Lanka Economists Association and the Population Association, reflecting her deep expertise in economic and demographic analysis.

Currently, she serves as the Managing Trustee of the Lady Lochore Loan Fund, operating under the Ministry of Finance. In addition to her professional roles, she is actively involved in academia as a visiting lecturer in development planning at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), sharing her wealth of knowledge with the next generation of policymakers.
