A Nobel Prize for “Randomistas”
The hype generated since the announcement of the Nobel prize in Economics has not yet died down. The “randomistas”-the researchers who widely use randomized control trials (RCTs) for causal identification- were exultant hearing that Abhijith Benerjee, Esther Duflo, and Michael Kremer were awarded the 2019 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
